Since a huge part of India’s Indian heritage has so far remained unregistered and preparing the inventory of the all heritage monuments worthy of preservation is the most important work with which we can start the process of conservation. The major aim of listing is to register the fast disappearing ancient built heritage and then present it to scholars and the public in a user-friendly format, which helps in conservation by generating public awareness. Once a building or an old built land is included in such a list, it becomes important and useful to undertake necessary conservation activities by respective authorities for it. In short if we want to promote or conserve any ancient building/monument then we have to compile all the information from archeologists, geologists, city authorities and other major communities working on the same area. This all will help SWCH to make plans accordingly and execute in the betterment of our nation with which we make one more step ahead towards our mission.
